Small Group Overview
St. Paul said, "So then you are no longer strangers and sojourners, but you are fellow citizens witht eh holy ones and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the capstone." (Eph 2:19-20)
Jesus promised, "...where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of thee." (Mt 18:20)
Small groups are an effective way to help you embrace your membership in the household of God. The small groups do not replace Mass or the Church-wide events for teaching and service outreach. Rather, the small groups enhance these events through the working of the Holy Spirit.
Small group Bible study will:
• Consist of roughly six to twelve parishioners
• Meet each week or every other week, usually at a member's home
• Include prayer, Bible and Church doctrine study, and time for sharing struggles or concerns
• Form a safe environment where members feel respected and can build trust for each other
• Lead to members becoming involved in each other's lives beyond the regular meetings
• Build strong Christ-centered friendships
